Piccadilly Circus was built in 1819 to connect Piccadilly with Regent Street. Now, it also joins Piccadilly with Regent Street, Shaftesbury Avenue and Glasshouse Street while Soho is a short walk away. Piccadilly Circus is surrounded by some of London’s most famous buildings, including the London Pavilion, the Criterion Theatre and The Ritz hotel.
The area has excellent transport links with Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Green Park, Oxford Circus and Tottenham Park Road tube stations nearby.
The Social Side of Piccadilly Circus
Piccadilly Circus is right in the heart of the West End and is literally bursting at the seams with some of London’s most famous theatres, great shops, famous restaurants and as much nightlife as anyone could wish for.
