If you’re serious about coffee and are a fan of Monmouth beans, this little espresso bar is a must. Serves seriously good coffee and a vast range of teas to suit every palate.
Taylor St Baristas, 125 Old Broad Street
A small, cosy café near Fenchurch Street that serves speciality coffee and a range of hard-to-resist cakes.
Flock, 105A Minories, EC3N 1LA
As the name suggests, this is a popular spot for tourists and office workers and you’ll be lucky to get a seat at peak times. It has a range of breakfast and lunch items along with the requisite sourdough/avocado combinations that are so popular nowadays. If you’re more of a traditionalist, their burgers and fish and chips have scored highly in customer reviews.
Arancini Brothers, 11A Kentish Town Road, NW1
If you want to pick up something tasty with an Italian twist for lunch, this place won’t disappoint. Their freshly made stews, salad boxes, and trademark arancini are delicious. The coffee’s great too.
St Katharine Docks Café, C2 Ivory House, CW1
A charming little café that serves excellent coffee and hearty breakfasts. They have tables overlooking the water, which are great for wiling away a bit of time when the sun is out. They also do a range of takeaway wraps and sandwiches.

One of the better coffee chains, this café also serves a full range of iced-coffees, smoothies and healthy shakes, bowls, and a range of speciality coffees. Be warned, the Norwegian Waffles are hard to resist!

With new coffee blends available with each season, this café is a favourite with coffee connoisseurs. They also do a variety of teas, juices, pastries, and cakes.
